Default 4.56 questions, advise needed on gear choice.

Thinking of either 4.11's or 4.56's..I plan on making my truck a quarter mile truck with good streetability, would I run out of gear in a 1/4 mile with 4.56's? And at 80mph, what would the rpms be? Or should i just go with a 4.11?

With a 28" tall tire, I would probably go with 4.10's. Are you running a 60e or 80e?

seems like most guys are happy with 4.56's, but id like to get info. on them. seems like a steep gear for a street driver, but they perform good at the track.

Yea the 4.10 is a good all around performance gear. And the 4.56 is a really good drag gear but will be really fun on the street if you don't cruise on the highway ever.

4.10 with 28" tire and 60e will run at 2600rpm at 75mph. The 4.56 will run at 2900rpm. So really, it just depends on what you do with the truck.

rarely will ever see interstate driving. another question, if using 4.56 in a quarter mile, will it still pull up top or at the end of the track? i dont want to go across the line bouncing off the limiter.
