about $230 for ring and pinon $100 for install kit $250-300 for labor so around $580-630 TOTAL unless you can install them yourself. keep in mind that you can do a cam swap with that money

I have 4.56 gears in both my silv and tahoe (both have stock verter) and I am very happy with the performance all around. I see around 17 mpg around town average and about 22-24 on the highway.

What's your tire height?

Cause damn, that's not bad at all. I'm running 30" tires, 5-spd, and see about 17 in town and 21-22 on the highway running 65-70mph. On a wee 4.8 too!
