Default 4:11 and 4.10 difference?

I got some new gears for my 4x4 08 NNBS truck. I plan to launch in 4wd on pavement. Is ther a difference in my 4:10 8.5 rear and 4:11 IFS 8.25? Got gears new and thats what i was sent. Wanted 4:10.

Just make sure there for a GM FRONT differential and you should be ok. there was an 8.2 rear end back in the 60's and it is possible some one made a mistake and sent you the wrong ones.

The gears are cut differently for front and rear differentials.

GM classifies typically there ratio as 4.10 on all this newer stuff.
