Is 4:10's to much for a daily driver

i've been on the fence about this for a long time myself. i have to drive 10-20 miles everyday at 65mph and a lot of 45 mph driving. at 45 it is a dog and i don't like driving around in 3rd. my tire is about 32+" tall. my pig gets about 13mpg even when it was bone stock.
so i was thinking 4.10's or a 4" stroke with 10:1 compression

Secondly, 13 mpg is pretty good! I wouldn't sneeze at it.

if my tcc wasn't locked up at that speed i would get like 5mpg. any thing below 40 i roll in 3rd because my tcc won't lock up in 4th until 45ish (my doing). if i need to get out of my own way it only takes 1/3rd throttle and the tcc is unlocked and the turbo at 5psi. but like you said i wanna lug 1200 and move around like i want. hints the 4" stroke.
yeah its not to bad. but that's in town or on the interstate. it never seems to leave 13mpg. it gets down to 12 some days around town.
