Default 4:10s to 4:30s???

ive been kicking around the idea the last few days to swap from my 4:10s to a set of 4:30s. i cant see what the use of it is honestly, but i think id be a little happier.

ive swapped to a 3600 converter with billet 1-2 and 4th gear servos...i have yet to run it at the track since, thanks to a broken flexplate. i should be bavk up and running by my next days off. imma retune it and hopefully we'll have a TNT soon that i can go make a pass at.
im running a 265/70/17 right now, ill be swapping to a 275/60/17 when the time for tires come. i run a 28" M&H DR at the track and had a best of 13.0 @ 104.2 with a 1.82 60'
i have a full bolt on 6.2 but just a cam and milled heads. i can upgrade LTs, exhaust piping, heads, and intake but thats more than i want to spend. i wanted a 12.99 truck, well i have it but a set of 4:30s may be a little better for me.

i need some input please.
its a 5800lbs CCSB full weight nothing removed.

4:10s to 4:30s is like 3:73s to 4:10s, if you wanna see any type of improvement then jump a gear size

personally i dont think you would gain anything except 50-100 rpm if that.

i'd go 4:56 find a nice street tire size, keep the 28s for the track and youre good to go

i went to 4:10s from 3:42s, its nice but i kinda wish i would have went 4:30s vs these 4:10s. im happy with the way the truck drives, but i cross the traps at 5500-5700rpm converter unlocked. like i said i havent been to the track since the converter swap but i think the truck will like the new converter. i shift at 6900 and itll drop to 5500ish between shifts.

Not worth it at all. Your new converter will get you in the 12s.
