Ok so I finally geared my truck to 4.10 and Detroit True Trac. First why do I hear a funny noise coming from differential ? Anyone have a idea ?

 

Sounds like an install issue, maybe they weren't set up perfect.

 

i just had 4.10s installed and they are almost as quiet as my 3.42. my speed shop said they dont always get set right the first time. so they didnt guarantee to have it ready in one day.

 

Ahhhh thanks guys . They're working perfect now . No noise at all . Think it was just the break in process . I think !! But haven't heard anything anymore whatsoever . Now in Justbgetting use to gas . This thing is guzzling gas . From 3.73 - 4.10 it's using alot

 

Is your truck AWD? Ive been looking for part numbers for the AWD gear swap.
