3rd gear slipping on 4l80e

No worries, glad to help bud....

There is only one pressure tap. It is in the line pressure feed circuit. It is located on the drivers side of the unit, midway back and right behind the manual lever position switch. I usually remove the bolts from the switch, slide it outwards and rotate it down in the back to get a clean shot at the plug.

Be sure to use a 300 psi gauge that has a long hose on it so that you can sit in the seat and place the gear selector in different positions. I also recommend you put it on jackstands so you can run it up so to speak. Try to not drive it with the load of the vehicle until you solve the issue.
