Sweet thanks everyone, its looking like 4.10 gears is in order. Jordan you broke that done in a perfect way. Makes a lot more since now. But yea an 80e is in the future just not to that point just yet lol. But thanks for all the help guys

Yeah, that's a 115MPH 3rd at the track with 28" tires and 125 on the street with 30's
and it will only hit 2500 rpm at 70MPH
So 4.56's...Yes...these definitely win.

What could I do besides tires to help with traction out back? I mean obviously some caltracs or alike. But what about leafs? Would like drop leafs work or removing the overload springs with caltracs work? I really like the big gear idea but yea I have never understood how people cut such good 60' with a truck

What gear ratio and differential is in it now?
Does it already have a custom driveshaft?
I think the biggest concern is the differential. If it has a G80 absolutely DO NOT hit it with slicks. That will grenade the diff and take out the trans with it. If it's open it's going to be a smoke show on the passenger side, right up until the point the differential explodes from lack of lube in the pinion gears (centrifugal oil starvation).
So, take your pick from available limited slip differentials and swap that at the same time. 10-Bolts also benefit from cast differential covers since they flex under power so much. Do keep in mind that numerically higher gears are less strong because as the pinion gets smaller it has less contact with the ring gear which concentrates greater force on the teeth.
That combination of power and gearing will take your trap speed (and driveshaft RPM) well past the yielding point of the factory shaft. Replace that too.
