I don't have any useful calculations to add here, but have you ever considered going 3.42's. Seems like they would be a nice mix.

the 3.42's wont let me finish the 1/4 in 2nd, bottom of 3rd well shifting out at the 1000' mark.



going to go back with the 4.10's since it was the yoke on the rearend that is messed up with the seals.

You may trap at a a better gear, but down low you'll be shitty. Your converter will help, but there's a reason we all don't switch to 1.40 gears and trap in 1st gear!

sounds good. I hope it works out for you. The only problem is that plenty of people have been test pilots going from 3.23's to 4.10's and they've seen possitive results. In some ways it makes, but in a lot of others it is just plain silly. Hell i hope you drop 1/2 a second off your 1/4 mile time. That would just make me feel better about running my 3.42's

well with a stock converter its allways better to go higher gears, now with a high stall converter who knows ahaha

this is going to be like a 2 speed power glide heehehee

To offset the gears, you can always a run a super small tire to achieve a better ratio. But it seems you have the tire size and gear ratio figured out so you can cross the traps at 6800rpms.

I would think your 1/8 mile time would suffer significantly in the 1/8.. It would come down to how much you can make up with the 3.23's at the big end.

Interesting none the less...
