Yank makes converters for the stock flywheel. My Yank is specified as a sc3200 ls1 4l80e. This allows you to use the stock 3 bolt flywheel with no spacer required. My converter even came with three converter bolts already screwed in. Before I ordered it I call Yank and talk to someone there about as far as hp if there would be a problem running the three bolt flywheel instead of the 6. He said a has a blown silverado making 500+hp and is running this same three bolt converter with no problems. Only reason I went with Yank is cause I here alot complaining with vigilantes being too loose of a converter. That's just my opinion, but to each of there own.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I really don't have anything to add that hasn't been said already. I would definitely go to a 80E flexplate and spacer so you can use all 6 bolts. I don't know much about the yokes. The driveshaft I bought from Speed Engineering was already set up with whatever it needed to work. I didn't change any of the yokes or anything.

Did you see the thread one ls1truck about the swap? I think they discuss the yoke in there.

yeah I did...thanks though...
they only address the rear-end yoke in that thread...

I am sort of confused on the whole spacer thing though
they used the spacer on the engine side with an 80e flywheel...
I know of some using the spacer on the converter side of a 5.3L flywheel...
do they both have a dish yet on opposite sides?
meaning that the spacer is needed on the converter side of 5.3L flywheel to be able to use w/ an 80e converter...
and the spacer is needed on the engine side of the 80e/6.0L flywheel in order to line it up w/ the starter from a truck originally equipped w/ a 60e?
Is going with something like the TCI flywheel the only way to eliminate the spacer?
