Could also do the relay mod and run it on a 4L60e tune without the segment swap.

1. I have the 6.0/80e flexplate and long bolts
2. I will be fabbing my own cross member
3. Extend cooler lines
4. Install different yolk on stock D/S (reg cab)
5. Have efilive (need to learn segment swap!) for 80e
6. Need to buy a 1K$ plus converter...ouch!

8. Exhaust work/ Hopefully my KBRacing kit will clear.

TTT...

Would a used low mileage unit with a shift kit and smaller converter live at 650 hp ?

Depends on the condition of said stock unit. The 80 is strong if it was taken care of by previous owner.

Mine was bone stock with about 60k miles on it. It held up for about 4 years (about 130k miles) at that power level. Had it rebuilt to stock specs and added a shift kit.

Anybody know good places to get th400 yolk, speed sensor pig tail , and dipstick tube.

I goty my dipstick tube for $13 bux from dealership and the dipstick itself is the same. My 80 took a beating and as far as i know another member on here is still beating on it...
A yoke shouldn't be too hard to find... If you cant find one, call me

9. Purchase Jakes' performance Stage 2 4L80E
10. GM# 15013290 shifter cable bracket

Feel free to add your advice if you have done this swap you may save me time or money and get a warm feeling in your heart for doing so
