Has anyone ever installed the outer tie rods from a 2500hd into a 1500 silverado... The only noticable difference i can see is the stud that goes through the spindle is a slightly larger size. I know some of the aftermarket control arms require opening up the hole i the spindle for the upper ball joint, so vant see this being much different.... I am asking because i am thinking about doing this on my truck with a set of either cognito/fabtech or another set of similarly designed tie rod assemblies...... I had a set of cognito inners a few years ago on my 3500 dually....which had a massive inner joint and screwed into the factory outer, but thise arent available anymore and turns out heim joints are frowned upon in va!!!

so literally the only difference is 1500 or 2500 outters
only item pricing is based on demand so essentially the same parts but for a 2011 2500 are cheaper than parts for a 99 1500 because basically all bromobiles are newer diesels and I guess 99 1500s are beaters so theres no demand I guess?
anywho, you need a 7° taper. it looks just about EXACTLY like the cheap bullshit reamer I already have, and Ive got a digital angle gauge, so I think Ill check that out before paying $50 for a 1 use tool so I can save $200 buying cheaper parts lol...

i know this is old, but Im here researching using 2500 kryptonite tierods as a whole. looking at LT Tolmans steering damper video it appears the center segment remains the same 99-18 essentially.
