Default Tie Rods

i have heard that the tie rods on our trucks are crappy but that you can upgrade when they need to be replaced to some 2wd 3500 HD moog chassis parts that are way stronger. <Is this true or does it require much?

I don't know about the 3500 HD deal but I went through two sets of factory inner tierods and went to the MOOG 1500 replacements and they are a whole lot stiffer. I havent had them on but a coulple of thousand miles so far so I dont know the longevity of them but they make the steering alot tighter.

maybe some other people will chime in there just might be some 3/4 or 1 ton tierods that can cross over to the half ton and be better yet. Possibly even moogs

I rebuilt the whole front end (ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and end links, pitman, idler) with Moog a couple years ago. The inner tie rod ends were beefier than stock and I just got what the lookup said for a 1500 4x4. 45K on them so far with no issues. I did get abut 140K out of the stock front end with lubing every oil change.
