Default 2500 stall

A guy at work has got a 2500 stall that was locally built.
He had it in a 12.0sec Lt1 vette and said it was ran pretty hard.
Its mine for $100. Question is should I take it or not?

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure it won't mate up to your truck.

Yea Im not sure if the LT1 convertor will work. I wouldnt waste my time with a 2500 anyway. imo If you want a cheap converotr get a tb stall, should be around 2600 for around 150 bucks usually.

ya i dont think it would work if its from an LT1 vette. you get what you pay for when it comes to a converter.... or anything else for that matter

It definitely won't work if it's from a vette. They have a transaxle setup and use a different torque converter.

You are correct. The C5 (1997) was the first vette with a transaxle

Its from a 95 vette. No trans axle, the converter should work. It was working fine when he took it out, he just went with a bigger stall. I'm just trying to figure out if I want to put this thing in my truck or not. I think I'd rather go with a factory tb converter.
