Default 2007 GMC Sierra Drop Progress

I hope this is in the correct sub-forum. If not, feel free to move or delete it. I'm a long time lurker but, recently began tinkering a little. I'll apologize ahead of time because I know this is pretty typical/common.

Almost stock height ...

2" drop shackles on the rear:

This is just a temporary thing for the front because this isn't the "right" way to drop it IMO. I don't like how the steering feels after doing this, which means I'm in the market for some MCG 2" spindles.

2" drop shackles on the rear and relocated front shocks under the lower control arms:

Flip hangers w/ stock shackles, leafs relocated under the rear end and relocated front shocks under the lower control arms:

One thing to note, flipping the rear hangers, drilling two more holes and using 2" drop shackles would probably work just as well as buying or making hangers.

Stock hangers with 2" drop shackles:

I'm not sure how a long or short pivot changes ride quality. If I ever get to feeling a little ambitious, I'll reinforcement the stock brackets and swap them out.

Comparison of an aftermarket hanger w/ stock shackle and a stock hanger w/ 2" drop shackle:

I'm going to modify a pair of shackles to drop the rear another inch. I still need help in the traction department so, there is more to come ...

Left to buy/do:

2" drop spindles
traction/latter bars
f&r adjustable shocks
parallel the rear shocks
