About 3 weeks ago I was on my way back from a road trip 70 miles from my house and my truck started to pull off to the passenger side and could smell my brakes. I pulled off to the side of the road and in gear idling the truck wouldnt roll and when I would try to drive it, it would pull to the right. Had it towed home, pulled the caliper and inspected everything, bottomed out the caliper and put it back on and bled it.

No problems until today, Its been about 400-500 miles since that issue and while driving home from work it started to pull a little about 2-3 miles away from home. I took it easy heading home and when I got home I felt the driverside caliper and it was warm, but the passenger side was HOT.

So I immediatly pulled the wheel off and cracked the bleeder screw and a dribble of fluid came out but the brake was still holding so that takes the master cylinder out of the picture and a potenial brake line colapsed holding pressure in the caliper. So this is actually pointing me in the direction that internally the caliper is binding, sticking or some other cause of witch craft.'

Im more so looking to see if others agree as in 5 days I need to make a 800 mile trip to Florida and I DO NOT need these issues on the road. I was hoping the first time it was simply trash in the caliper and the problem was gone, but I wasnt that lucky.

Oh yea, the front pads were changed about 8 months ago and only have about 10k miles on them too...

The pins may just need to be greased.

check the hose going to the caliper, I've seen them come apart on the inside and hold pressure on the caliper.

I re-greased them 3 weeks ago when I pulled the caliper off the first time.

I already popped the bleeder open while it was hot and sticking and its not holding pressure in the caliper.

Agreed, and for the 40 or 50 each the calipers cost, I would do both of them. No reason to chance it.
