Default 2002 vs 2007 4L80E

What differences are there between a 02 and a 07 80E? Just wondering if I Can instal the valve body and internals from a 02 into a 07 case. Thanks J

I don't see an issue with doing this except for when it comes to the pump. The later cases changed and if the correct pump is not used you will have cooler flow issues. IIRC this change took place in 04. If you look closely at both pumps and cases around the area where the front cooler line passage goes through the case you will see what I'm talking about here. Thanks much appreciated
I thought there was something different just couldn't remember. The valvebody is my biggest concern. I want to run the valvebody and shift kit from my 2002 trans. It's the early style hd-2 kit and I like the way it shifts much better than the new style.

The valve body and wiring is not going to be an issue with the 07 unit. Good luck with your project. Vince
