I'm trying to decide between two kits and want everyone's feedback.
Bell tech 2/4 spindles, hangers, etc.
Rough country 2/4 spindles hangers etc.
The Beltech will cost me approx $1200 installed (no shocks)at Blackjack performance.
The Rough Country will be $1000 and it comes with shocks installed at performance off road.
I'm know mechanic, don't have a ton of tools but I have changed the water pump on this truck. Is it too much of a headache to install it my self?

I did a full 2/4 drop for like 600-700 bucks and did everything myself.
I used MCG drop spindles, DJM hangers and shackles with MCG shocks all around.
The only real hard part is grinding the rivets off the factory hangers and using a air hammer to get them out. The rest is all bolting the new parts on. Spindles are easy to change so long as the parts aren't all rusty. You will need pinion angle shims for the rear end as well because you are moving the leaf spring around.
I'd shop around, you may find prices cheaper than belltech.

I'm a supporter of Bell Tech. Have always used their dropped kits on trucks.
I've never used their shocks though.
One thing I will say, most of these companies put out similar quality stuff, however I'd stay away from drop control arms (I think its DJM that offers them). They are an alignment nightmare.

To install the spindles, it's not hard at all. Look on the net, there are a few how-to's. You will need a BFH for the lower balljoint/spindle seperation.
I prefer MCG spindles over the Belltech's as it drives much much better.
For the rear, I'd look at doing a flip kit and 2in raised shackle. I think that would be easier than trying to grind/punch those bastard rivets out.

I have the MCG drop spindles, drop shackles and the hangers on my 01 RSCB and so does my brother on his 06 and we love them! We also have the Belltech drop shocks all the way around and the ride quality is amazing! Sway bar upgrades are up next.
