Default 01 ecsb 2wd 4l60 to 4l80

Im sure theres already a thread out there for this but im not sure where. I have a 01 silverado ecsb with a 2 peice drive shaft that i want to swap trans on. And I want to know what yoke and u joint i need, what plug i need and if i need a specal tourque convertor?

You'll need the transmission, new cross member mount or mod the factory one, mod the wire harness to make it work, new drive shaft or shorten a section of yours because the 4L80e is longer, different flex plate and converter.

Then a custom tune to make everything work. I suggest more reading on your part to get the exact parts you will want.

Thank you, i have been reading im just not sure what yoke i need and ive read both that u need a tune and that you dont

I must have a tune, no other way around it.

The 4L60e calibration in the computer can not run a 4L80e.

Actually, it can but you need to modify the wiring to do so. This is known as "The Relay Method"

You also need to make some adjustments to the calibration.

I've seen people have bad luck without doing the segment swap.

Yes you can do the wiring change pretty easy but the segment swap makes everything a breeze.
