Stew, did the Caltracs lift the truck at all? I remember the one dude saying something about them lifting his truck in the back 2", but then he thought he might have installed them wrong???

Also I couldnt help but notice you said you have a 3" lowering shackles, they make those and it doesnt hit the bottom of the bed??

i havent measured yet but my bed seems to sit a little lower since removing the overload spring. i dont see how they could lift a truck 2"! he musta had them installed wrong or adjusted way outa whack.

they do lift the bed when i jump on the gas. it felt weird the first 2 or 3 times i goosed it and the rear end lifted instead of squatting but you get used to it really fast. im installing my drag shocks up front tonight so hopefully the whole truck will jump up in the air off the line now

belltech makes 3" shackles and i had to bend some material under the bed but they fit after a little modification. dont know what they will do under a fleetside. im the only one running them that i know of.

Ahh got ya... maybe I misread what he said, maybe he meant they lift it when he gets on it, ill try to find the thread.

Ok, I knew 2" shackles were close to begin with, didnt know how they could get another 1" outta it, Fleetside bed might be different.

Try to get some video up of a launch

i have no shims in there. i bought some 2* shims thinking i may need them but my drivetrain is vibe free. instead of using shims, djm sent me an adjustable driveshaft carrier to adjust everything back where it belongs.

i plan on making sure that the pinion angle is pointing down and if it is im just guna leave it alone. ill figure out the pinion angle is sometime this week.

Do you have any pics of the DJM adjustable carier?

I have 2" shackles and 2" hangers with the overload pulled and I have no vibes either. I haven't touched the location of my carier bearing either. IIRC my carier bearing is actually lower than my pinion flange.
