I followed up the drop with some KYB nitrogen drop shocks all the way around. The shocks made a huge difference. My vote goes for the mcgaughy's kit.
I vote McGaughy's also. I have the DJM lca's and will be replacing them with spindles in the future.

With helper bags there is no need to c notch unless you just want to cut the frame. I have 500 pounds in sand bags in the back with 20 psi in my bags and I almost never bottom out. Even going down old bumpy country roads at 60mph.

I have had mine on for a couple months with no problems. Anyone that lives in houston can tell you how smooth the roads are around here I cut my factory bump stops down to one rib. no problems so far.

I think a notch is overkill for a 4" drop, not to mention a pain to install.

Yes but is your ride factory quality? It's simple logic that with a 4" drop on these truck you don't have very much upward movement. There's enough there for normal driving and such but over rough roads you need more...

All that is void though if you run a stiff rear suspension. I used to have some shitty shocks on the back and a couple 200lb guys could sit on my tailgate without my rear-end going down more then .25" to .50"

Now that I have shocks that ride comfortable and smooth (they're much softer) I bottom on over large bumps and step ups in the road (construction zone where road goes _______---------)...

With my truck I really need a notch. And yah, I've cut the factory bumpstop so pretty short...

Helper bags, helper bags
If I let the air out of my bags my truck woud be on the stop with 300 to 400 pounds in the back of the bed. You will still have a very good ride
