Default 2-3 DJM drop, '08 Sierra

Just bought a sky-high '08 RCSB. Since I'm an old guy, I just want a mild drop with factory ride. I notice a DJM 2-3 kit that they say is a breeze to install. I can handle the rear, my question is how hard to do the front lower control arms? It looks pretty easy. will the tie rod end and ball joint come apart easy or do I need a special tool to separate? Will I need a re-alignment?

while the truck is new you might not have too much trouble with the lower ball joints. you may need a ball joint separator. you might just be able to whack the control arm on the outside of the ball joint and it will pop off. yes, you will probably need an alignment. the tie rod end just unbolts. it has a taper on it, but if you loosen the nut until its higher than the stud sticking through it, and give it a tap, it will come right off.
