i have a 2005 z71 ecsb and was wondering if i can swap frames with a 2500 and still use the front 4x4 components. the reson i ask is because i can get the frame at a good price but it comes with no front drive accesories on it. if it will work, will the half shafts work in the new hubs? is this worth the trouble and time or should i just buy a 2500 truck?

Just buy a 2500 truck.

So much is different.
So little is the same.

 

X2 just get a 2500 or buy a complete rolling chassis. The front 4x4 case is different, front cv axles are different, controll arms are different and so on.

I already learned the hard way when I put my 2500 Back together after it was totaled .

 

i figured it would be different. i didnt want to find out the way so i figured id ask some people more familiar with these trucks. thanks for the input

 

Hey no problem! Like I said, I already went through the hassel and now I have a 1/2 ton front wheel drive case that no one wants...
