Default 15" Wheel possible with 2" drop spindles?

Hello all, I am getting ready to buy parts to lower my 2000 RCSB 4/6. Originally planned on getting belltech 2" spindles and springs for the front and a flip kit for the rear but from what i've read I will not be able to run 15" wheels with a belltech spindle because of clearance issues with the ball joint. Is there any other brand spindle I can run or modification I can do to clear the 15's or should I look into lower control arms? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated, I have 15" wheels with snow tires I use in the winter time and plan on running 15's for the strip. Thnks-Sam

I have come to the realization that this truck will never see snow afer this winter so I have decided to buy this McGaughys 4/6 kit- Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Standard Cab 1999-2006 4/6 Deluxe Drop Kit - McGaughys Part# 93016/93018/93020/93022 - Mcgaughys-Suspension.com is this a good kit? I have heard the 16" spindles give a better turning radius and less bumpsteer than the 17" spindles but wanted some more input, also wondering if their axle flip kit is worth a ****. Don't really want to spend double the money on a Belltech, because I have heard they are about the same quality as far as design and finished product are concerned. And any suggestions on shocks would also be appreciated, plan an several trips to the strip and plan on getting a traction bar of some sort if that changes the rear shock selection. I was planning on getting the belltech nitro drop 2's just wanted some input on what everyone else has. Thnks-Sam

The issue with a 15" wheel on a drop spindle is the width of the wheel. I have a 5" wide wheel on the front of mine and it works fine with the back space I had.

When I first put the spindles on, I put my factory 17" wheels back on, but I had to grind the ball joint stud almost flush with the nut.

Thnx for the reply, plan on lowering it in the very near future! And blown06 what backspace did you run? Would love to run slicks and skinny's but have not seen any production wheel sets with our lug pattern and b/s. Does everyone just custom order them?
