damm i see most are built 60e's or flt's...real fast guys are with 80e's....im not sure on what to get for my truck..the top level from flt60e (direct swap and retain curent stall)or 80e swap with modifications...

FLT vacuum modulated LVL V 4L65E with billet shafts, Sonnax Super Hold 2nd & 4th Servos. Over 4 years and 55k miles @ 5650lb’s.

That's it right there, this comes up at least once a day for me.
The 80 IS stronger, but it is also going to be the most expensive and require the most labor. I would not try to talk you out of it though, we build a killer 4L80e. That being said we also have more than a few customers doing very well with our max performance L7 4L65 /70e's, and it's a drop in.
I think it is your budget and timeframe that will end up making your decision.

cant go wrong with a 80e, or a performa or flt built trans. I am happy with a 4l65e built like a lvl 3 performabuilt till my drive shaft took it out.
