Default 08 vortec max 4l70e

I just wanted to know how good the 4l70e was? How well can it hold up to a stock 6.0 with a PCM tune? I was told that the 80e couldn't be hurt by the stock motor. That is the set up I have not (tuned 6.0 & 80e) and it's been excellent. I'd like to trade for an 08 vortec max. I feel the lighter vehicle, and active fuel management should get me a little better ecomony. Plus I like the new vehicle. I just don't want to take a step backwards and have tranny problems.

I've heard that when you remove TM on the 60e and 65e you can start to damage these trannys with the stock motor working them hard. I don't want to be hooked up to the rated 10,500 towing limit with all of the TM taken out and tear this tranny appart.
