I am pretty sure I have everything I need(ideawise) to do the swap...or I should say...I THINK I know what I need.
I have an 07 Tahoe Z71
And I now have an 03 4L80e setup with transfer case to install in it...just wanna make sure I have my ducks in a row here.
All I need to mod/buy is 3 things:
Wiring harness for the segment swap(60to80)(or modify mine)
crossmember (or modify mine)
and modify driveshafts?( or can I use a stock escalade or something setup?)
I can use the transfer case that is already attached to the 4l80 correct? Any changes there I need to be aware of? Control module etc?
Should I re-use my old stall(I also have the 4l80 stall)
My plan as soon as the 4l80e is in,...I wanna go turbo(home built) so I can tow the car around to events. So the stall would be mostly based on that,...and mostly daily driving. Not trying to make big power just trying to make a reliable tow truck.
I'm a big manual dude...I admittedly know little about auto setups or figuring out the proper stall. This is ON a budget(aren't we all lol)so..please keep in that in mind.
Thanks for any advice. I read a few swaps but...I don't think anything specific to mine.
Thanks, Jamie
