Default 07 HD2500 Transmissiin Issues

I bought this truck equipped with the six speed... Pardon my ignorance but not sure if its 6l80 or 6l90 and don't really know the difference. I bought the truck with 100,000 miles with a gooseneck hitch receiver. I was apprehensive because of this and later found the previous owners # and called him to confirm that he pulled cattle with this thing. GM tells me it is a learning trany and that over the 100,000 miles it has learned a certain "style" of driving. My problems are a pretty consistent, when warmed up, 1-2 slip and occasional 3-4. When I am in my garage and windows down I can also hear the transmission pop or clank when I put it in park.

I have inquired on my local forum and people looking to either just make a buck or just don't know the problem by what I am describing say a tune will sol e the problem. I have already pulled the PCM fuse and let it sit a while then reinstall and it seemed better. That was until I put my welding machine in the back. Now I am getting more frequent slippage once again.

I am new to modifying these trucks and need all the help I can get. This truck is an 07 6.0 Gas WT long bed and I use it for work but also like to play. I plan on doing some basic I/H/E and some tuning but want to make sure my platform is working correctly before I start.

Thanks in advance.
