Was the 300m input shaft used? If not, there is your problem.
The way to get a 60/65/70e trans to live is to use all the upgraded hard parts, not overly firm shift and a looser converter (looser than the 3200 you have).
The 1-2 shift doesn't need to be overly firm. If it's overly firm, to the point of being harsh, teeth jarring, that's when parts break.

For your gear question, if you're going to convert it to 2wd, go 4.10s. Anything else is a waste.
Especially if you go 80e, the deeper gear will make gear difference between the 60e and 80e less different (if that makes sense).

OK. Now question with the 4.10 the guys mentioned highway drive suffering what they mean by that? I like roll racing a Lil better than digging for right now "so I needs mah top end"! Ive gotten this brick up to 142mph on the highway will that decrease with the 4.10. I'm new to this so if I'm asking stupid question.......

my truck was was a dog on top end with the 4l80e/lq4/4.10 combo if your doing 140+ mph i would not do a 4.10 they shine from a dig but suck at roll racing
another thing is boot loves rpm i think your shooting yourself in the foot with a 4.10, i had a stock 93 silverado with a 5.7 3.73 700r4 a friend had one with a 4.10 same truck he would pull me out of the hole but on the highway i would gap his *** every time

So basically 4.10 is better at track and digs and 3.73 is better street/highway like a DD. I guess I'll stick to the 3.73 till I get procharged. But that means supercharged with 4.10 gears would be overkill?

more rpm more boost that simple, every shift is going to lower your boost as rpms drop
i cant tell you what to do but i would not go 4.10, 3.73 is what i would do depending on your HP/TQ your shooting for

I would ask around some more before making a decision Edward.
RPM drop off is 3 things:
1. Trans gearing
2. Rear end gearing
3. Converter
With my FTI 3800 single disk at WOT, my RPM drop off is 500 RPMs. Light throttle is more drop.
Your 3200 converter has a drop off of around 1300-1500 RPM, right?
