Default 01 Suburban Front Caliper Bolts

2001 Suburban Front Disc Brake Calipers -

so i've been replacing disc brake pads and rotors for years .... and i hate to have to ask, but .......

i having trouble getting the caliper bolts out in replace rotors. what do i need to get this out .... torx or allen head? 8mm allen head seems slightly small, as does a T50 torx. i'm worried that both will spin inside the bolt head. 10mm allen and T60 torx are too big, and neither of my sets have a 9mm or a T55. is that what i need, or is there a trick to this??

they simply will not unscrew.

thanks

I got a T55 torx bit, had no trouble removing them. Try Sears for a T55 torx.

Got it. First time I've had to use a breaker bar on caliper bolts! Thanks for your help.

Yeah they're on their pretty tight. I had to use one of those mechanical impact drivers and then a breaker bar.
