01 4.3 trans/converter behind a GEN III??

I'd rather not LOL, she hates the way an 80E drives. plus I'd like the truck to get out of its own way if she needs to... a 4L60E will be all that truck needs. It'll never tow anything besides the reg cab on a light trailer eventually, so no need for the 80E anyway. better gas mileage, and efficiency from the 60E it'll be a 4.8 with manifolds, clutch fan, cats, stock trans/converter
like I said, hopefully we can work something out on your pullout 60E and converter while your here. Call me this evening if you get a chance.

If the trans came out of an 01 model, then there are no differences. The bellhousing, input shaft, pump, and clutches are all exactly the same as the Gen III 4L60's. There are no electrical changes either.
