I have both radials and slicks the drag radials are 275/40/17 m/t et radials and i cut a 1.74 60' with them the best with the 27x10.50x 16 et streets was 1.80 that day but it was probably cause im running on 3.42 gears. et streets do not hook worth a **** on the street the drag radials are a night and day difference on the street but not as good as the nitto 555r's on the street.

When you say the et streets didn't hook, is it at least a pullin spin where you are at least movin forward? while a regular radial will just sit in one spot while you boil them away to little gobs of goo

In my experience it seems to me that slicks are easier on rear ends/axles than drag radials are...
...but I'm not saying your G80 will survive with slicks and not with drag radials.
