That is what is in it. I didn't believe him either but is on the window sticker and RPO code. I lost 20 bucks on the deal. We even went to local chevy dealer with VIN and that was what comes up.
I wonder if the fact that is AWD makes a difference on the gears used?
I would have figured it would have at least a 3.73.

But please do some research before you act like having a 4.30 over a 3.73 rear gear is the only thing that matters. Becuase you would find out the transmission gear ratios of the 6sp toyota trans vs. 6sp chevy trans, the chevy actually has the advantage in first and second gear (and that is taking the rear gear into account) and the rest of the gears they are pretty even. Also that is using the 4.30 vs. 3.73, and the 4.30 is not standard it is optional so the real comparison would be 4.10 and with that the chevy would have the advantage in every gear.

Tundra gear ratios:

3.333:1 first gear ratio, 1.96:1 second gear ratio, 1.353:1 third gear ratio, 1:1 fourth gear ratio, 0.728:1 fifth gear ratio, 0.588:1 sixth gear ratio, 3.061:1 reverse gear ratio

Denali gear ratios:

First: 4.03
Second: 2.36
Third: 1.53
Fourth: 1.15
Fifth: 0.85
Sixth: 0.67
Reverse: -3.06

With that said, it is still pretty surprising that the Tundra has such bad gas mileage though.
The 14.80 in the Toyota is with the optional 4.30. Give them the 4.10 gears.
I doubt it will run the 14.80 with 4.10s.
My point was I don't like Toyotas, just a little jab.

because 1st gear in the 6spd is so low (4.0x), they put some high gears in the rear. This still alows better take off and also lower RPM's when cruising.

Have you seen what gears the 6-spd auto vettes come with? 2.56. For '08 they have optional, "performance" 2.73's.

Yeah I saw that, I was like 2.73s. Wow. But it works for them. At my local track there is an older guy that is out there every test and tune with a A6 C6. Bone stock he is always running 12.70 with the 2.56 gears. Amazing!

I had a 91 L98 Corvette that had 3.08s with the 700R4, it was alright, certainly not screamer.

Yeah at 70 his truck is putting out right about 1700 rpm. Real similar to what my WS6 does in 6th at 70.

He is getting right around 18 MPG between city and highway driving.
I keep telling him to register, but he is LAZY.

I have video of the passes, but I don't have to software to get it off VHS to my computer.

I have my eye on this truck big time especially the 2wd flavor, the new GMC's are sexy!! They 2wd only weigh 5200lbs according to the GM website, not bad for a crewcab. I'm done with the Titan, my recent supercharger add has been blowing stuff up left and right (pistons/trannys). The new 6spd tranny will totally make up for the 3.42's right? Wouldn't 4.10's be way 2 extreme and 3.73's borderline with that kind or 1st gear? My Titan has a 2.94 rear but the tranny is geared diff also. I have simlilar performance to 3.73's on a 4spd due to the Titan's tranny gearing. The Titan's with a tow package have a 3.36 rear but performs like a 4.10's on a 4spd due to the tranny gearing.

Anyone know how to figure out what these 3.42's on this new 6spd would be equivlent of on the old 4spd? Does that make any sense?

I think Darknight-4 understands what I am talking about...

I found some nice pics of one in white, I like white best on this ride, but what's up with that tail pipe?

If the AWD's do 14.8 stock the 2wd should go around 14.6 right?

I would probably have to paint the inside of the rear fender black though...

I can do about anything very well, rears diffs, engines, I guess everything, but EFI live is a vocabulary I do not have the brain power or time to learn leave it to the younger generation that has brain matter that can comprehend it. The logging and testing I can do. You may very well learn it easily with jumping in. I get help from this awesome board. There are people here that are happy to help. What a god send. And my thanks goes out to them and you know who you are.

Hey nissan guy
How do you feel about going jap and going back?Your nip buddies give you a had time?
