Centerline 20x8 would cut 10lbs per corner using the same 275/55. I don't know if that would be worth it. Maybe if the stockers could be sold to offset price; Centerlines Stingray 3 are $1250 a set.

I wish I had 20's, my 24's weigh in just under 110lbs with the tire, 305/35/24 on Demoda Concertos. I have to learn how to brake again when I pull the winters off, and lose a lot of power in the process. My 265/70/17 winters will just roll off with the throttle whereas the 24's I can't even spin unless I bring it up on the stall.

Stock 20s are pretty damn heavy compared to the star shaped 17s. Without tires that is.

The weight is obviously a big concern, but 20's will feel heavier while driving because the weight has been moved further away from the hub. If you have a 22" wheel that weighs 90# with a 32" diameter tire, the 17" wheel that weighs the same with the same diameter tire, the 17" will drive lighter every time. Its like holding up a 20# weight at shoulder height right at your chest vs. having your arm fully extended out in front of you. Of course it feels heavier way out there...

My 22's I just ordered, believe it or not, weigh in at less than 17lbs per wheel. Now, I know that will go up considerably with tires, but the entire setup still should come in fairly light, especially being a 22".

What are they, and who makes them? 17 pounds is hard to believe, but not impossible I guess.

This is the conversation between me and the manager of the MHT warehouse I deal with. I did this because I knew my friends wouldn't believe me, lol
