Default high flow catalytic convertor questions

Hello, first time forum user. I have an 07 silverado 2500hd with the 6.0l gas engine. I intend to do several upgrades that I hope to be all in preparation for forced induction, vortech supercharger style.

Right now im trying to make good decisions about what parts to buy and the reason I made this post was to ask about catalytic convertors.

Ive read alot of information about how restrictive they are most especially when under boost, which will not work well with my future plans, but then I saw some diesel catylitic convertors which I read are more sturdy and durable than gasoline cats, besides also being designed with boost as a major factor.
But a google search did not bring me any results at all of anyone using diesel cats on a gasoline system.
So I would hope that someone here would have some input on this idea I have.

Diesel cats are available with 5" inlet/outlet, universal style at that, from magnaflow.
