Default 456 vs 373

Basically have an upcoming street race, rival has a 2000 4.8 silverado extended cab fbo cammed 456 gears.
I myself have a 2008 silverado single cab 4.8 cai, fbo cammed with 373 gears. even without a stall, my truck still moves quite well.
The only main difference is in gears, which will obviously pull better, but it will probably be a 30-120mph race.
What outcome do you guys think will happen?
Do I have a chance against those 456s?

I assume you have a 60e trans?

Those 4.56's are a high fun factor. Even 4.11's are fun as hell.

I don't know tbh, I think it may be close on the top but out of the hole, he's going to pull on you hard.

Practice launching from 30 in different gears.

IMO you'll get him no problem especially if he spins any.

Don't fear the gear!! You should be to go, I run 4:56 in my truck with a built 60e and 1st is absolutely useless from a dig, roll race I need to be doing 60mph+ to get traction. I'm also making double the power. But you should be able to pull the truck by the 80mph mark, my truck starts running out of steam quick on the top end with the gears. So I'm going to swap back to 3:73 one day. Forgot to mention, when I was semi stock, I was on the 4:56's and the truck was still a turd with the 4.8 I think you will have a great shot or victory or a close win

Good luck with the race. Let us know how it goes
