Default will this work?

my car currently has an A1000 fuel pump. I hear these things push a ton of fuel, but also generate a lot of heat. I know it's noisy as hell!

I was thinking about running 10 AN from the sump to a 10AN Y and keeping my A1000 to be turned on through a hobbs switch, and a bosch to run the engine anytime I'm not in boost. the 10AN pumps would Y into 8AN and run to the fuel rail with an 8AN from my regulator back to the tank.

I never see anyone running different pumps together. will this work, or is it a recipe for disaster?

Default Pumps

yes you will need check valves, on the feed side of the pumps
I think that is what i did, so i won't back feed the pumps.
I did this setup back in 1987 so it's hard to remember how
i did. it.
