Default Walbro 400LPH with stock lines?

Will the stock lines, filter, rail, and regulator be able to handle a Walbro 400 on a factory return system (2001)? I know the wiring needs to be upgraded. I'm looking to upgrade my Walbro 255 and have been hearing bad things about the Aeromotive 340's. I want a pump that won't leave me on the side of the road.

Do you have a fuel gauge? Is your FP dropping off at WOT?
If your not boosted then a walbro 255 will be enough for you

I can't say for sure but I have been told by a Tech sponsor that that pump will overpower the stock regulator at idle and you will have issues with high fuel pressure. I would stay away from the Aeromotive too with the number of issues that seem to be poping up.

Stock for now, boosted very soon. Looking for 600+rwhp. I'm knocking out the supporting mods before the turbo goes on.

Bringing this one back to get more opinions or real experience. I've heard from a few people now that the stock return fuel system can handle a Walbro 400, but it was mostly speculation. Looking for real results!

My stock regulator handles a 340 just fine. No experience with the 400 though.

Denmah runs dual pumps through a stock regulator. Not sure if he checked his pressure, but it seems to be doing all right.

Parish did 1k rwhp with stock fuel lines, I think you will be fine. Don't recall, but I think he had an aftermarket fuel regulator.

You will be fine as long you have a return on it only over flows regulator on f bodys not on a trucks do to that fact they are large! Are going to gas or e85? If you go e85 use the 450.

Ah that's what I heard also, thanks! Pump gas for me, the nearest E85 is hundreds of miles away
