Default turbo build fuel pump question

I am finishing up my turbo build and bought and inline walbro 255. I installed it after the stock pump and wired it into the "grey" relay wire and it does not power up. The pump is working because if i plumb straight to the battery its fine. So how the heck do i power this thing Because as if now anything after 2psi of boost and i start leaning out.

Also do i need a regulator after the inline pump. I am on a returnless set up, for now

So you installed it on the rail? I do not recommend doing this the way you described. You should either:

1.) Remove the inline pump you installed and replace the factory pump with a larger one (walbro 400 or walbro450 are good ones).

2.) Convert your fuel system to a return style with an aftermarket (or factory) rail mounted regulator, and also replace the factory pump with a larger one.

Either way, inline pumps are not a good idea on these setups as they do not offer much advantage.

Drill a hole in the top of the bucket and install a bulkhead fitting.

There are two lines on my frame rail and only one up on the fuel rail. What is this other line for. I had read that is was for flex fuel setups for returns. If so could i tap that for a return?

Im sorry i just saw this. I have an 04. I was able to tap into the overflow vent tube for the filler neck although i am now poppong evap codes.

Anyway i installed the regulater and is now wired to an ignition switch with no relay wich i am finding to be very not good. I. Not driving it really but is is still leaning out under boost. I am assuming its the pump not on a relay. Any thoughts

That last post has me really confused on what you did.

I converted my returnless system to return.

I ran the return line into the fuel filler neck. I have the inline walbro hooked up direct to an ignition circuit. So itnis on all the time. I do not have it wired through a relay. I will do that when i get home. I can only hope the voltage fluctuating is causing the lean issues
