Default Stock fuel pressure regulator eliminator?

I have a 97 K2500 7.4L with a leaky FPR and since my future upgrades will require and external adjustable regulator, I figure I might as well install it now instead of throwing away another $50 on a stock replacement. Does anybody make an eliminator kit to replace the stock part or do I just gut it and seal it up? My google fu is not supplying any answers tonight so I just gotta ask what's the best way.
