I ALMOST finished the entire swap today, but have the wrong fittings for my fuel rails, so I have to wait on that to completely finish. After I installed the new bucket I tested them indiviually and then together to make sure my wiring was working I noticed two things... these pumps are very quiet. Both of them on at the same time is quieter than my single walbro 255. These pumps also move a ton of fluid. I had the tank output in a gas can and it looked like a garden hose with both pumps on. I know its at 0psi, but its still impressive.

What keeps those power wires from wicking fuel up them? I've seen oil pressure senders leak into the wiring harness and wick oil all the way to the instrument cluster. The 96-99 trucks with the 5.7 did it to when an injector leaked into the wiring harness and wicked fuel all the way to the ECM.

Come again? There is a tight rubber grommet in the wire hole and I put some silicone on top of that...

He means that the fuel will wick its way up the strands of the wire, between the strands and between the wire and the insulation. Capillary action.

I didnt see any of that on my other bucket with the same type of wiring job.

Sorry to thread jack a little but I cant help but think that that Denso pump might work for my build. I currently have a single in-tank walbro 255. After the turbo I think I will need a fuel pump system that can support up to 700-800 hp. Could I run a single Denso pump in place of my walbro without much modification? Any downsides to running a single large pump as opposed to two walbros? I am using the stock fuel lines on my 03 (return style) through a vette reg/filter onto the NNBS/TBSS returnless fuel rails.

The Denso is larger than the walbro, but can be made to fit in the same spot in the bucket without too much modification. 800hp might be pushing the limits of a single pump...

Hmmm. How does the Bosch 044 compare to this Denso pump? IIRC I have heard of people making 7-800 on the bosch pump.

Supposedly very similar. as far as I know not many guys are using the densos, I may be the first on this forum doing a serious build with them
