Default Pump help plz!!!

ok guys im looking into buying a fuel pump for 5.3 im getting ready to install a turbo kit and my goal is 500-600hp at the most when im done with it which pump will get my goals and last some miles on my dd... im looking into the walbro 450 or 400 i have read about the fuel pumps but what do u guys recommend

-can the 450 work on 93???
-another question, i have a fuel regulator and return lines and want to keep my stock feed for now what are you guys using as a filter or what fittings do i need to tap on my stock feed line to add a filter??

any help is appreciated

I would run the 450. Why do you want to add another filter? Why not just keep the stock filter if your keeping the stock lines??

so the 450 isnt really for e85 use only i can run it with whatever i decide to use??? and my truck is a 06 so my filter goes in the bucket thats why i want to remove the stock one and add an external one outside like the 99-03

Oh you're just talking about the pump sock. It is just a pre filter for the pump. Just buy a sock for the 450 pump and put it in the bucket like stock. Why do you want it outside of the bucket like the 99-03?

And yes, it is designed to run pump gas but is rated for E85 as well. You'll be fine.

i get you but i have seen people run filters aside from the sock or will the sock be sufficient to keep the fuel clean im a little lost here and dont want to take it apart with something missing

I guess I don't understand how your thinking about doing it. How would you run an outside filter without anything on the pump?

I would just run the sock, and the stock in line fuel filter.

Convert to the return style rail like your planning and use the 400 or 450. Add an inline filter like the factory 99-02 trucks have. Go ahead and get the 80lb injectors while your at it.

Wait what? The 04-up trucks don't have an inline fuel filter?

no they dont lol... and i have some 60lb injectors i got for a good price so i had to pass the 80s... the question is how do i add the inline filter to my stock feed line
