My fuel system plans, does it look ok?
One of my projects for this summer is going to be to swap to a cell in order to switch to a 4-link... sooo this is my plan for my fuel system, see if it seems ok.
Adding a 20 gallon Aluminum fuel cell behind the axle. It has a sump and 2 -8AN fittings for the feed, 1 -8AN fitting for the vent and 1 -8AN fitting for the return. Granted it will take some cutting and fabbing to get it to work but it is doable.
I will be using a Walbro 255 for one of the external pumps. I am choosing the walbro because they are relatively inexpensive and they are reliable. Eventually i will be adding a second pump either another walbro or a bosch 044 triggered by hobbs switch if i go FI or WOT switch if i stay NA.
Next will be a -8 one-way check valve from summit racing.
Then half way up on the frame rail a -8 summit racing fuel filter.
The feed will be all -8 braided steel lines and fittings...
I am going to be using a Aeromotive 13129 fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is -6, or should i get the Aeromotive 13101 which is -10??
That will feed the stock rails, until i decide to swap out the rails for aftermarket ones...
The return will be all -6 braided steel lines and fittings.
I will also be adding a relay kit for the pump with 10 gauge wiring.
did i forget anything, does this setup sound solid at least for my current setup?
