Nice find so the ls6 has a flat middle section and ls1 has hump in the middle.
Check this out.

Found another article with some good news.
on an ls1 though so gains will be slightly better due to the extra 0.4L and larger intake valves. Same motor for all test.
These are with your
ls1 intake with tpis 75mm throttle body
at 2000-3000rpms makes 325tq - 354tq
432 max tq at 5200rpms
The 02 ls6 with tpis 75mm throttle body
at 2000-3000rpms makes 332tq - 366tq
446 max tq at 5400rpms
I would say it is safe to say you will make and average of 10 more tq at the motor through out the power band with and ls6 vs ls1 which is only 5-7rwtq
The only true way to get low end tq is by adding cam, more compression, or boost. The cheapest way for power and especially tq is more cubes. Higher flow heads will give you more mid and top end hp. The stock runners in the 706/862 heads are the best for low end tq on small bore 5.3L and 4.8L due to they keep air velocity high.
Tq = air velocity
Hp = air flow/Volume
