I would run aftermarket rails no question and you'll need walbro 450's as the 400's aren't rated for E85. Your building this badass truck with lots of expensive parts so don't cheap out on fuel rails. Get some volume to those injectors. Just for a comparison, I'm running 92lbers currently and I'm at 80-85% IDC on pump E85. If I had to guess, I'd say I'm around 550-600rwhp.

I'm building my fuel system now and going to go with -10 wyed to two -8's through the fuel rails, then -6 return. Pumps will be duel 450's.

Cool, sounds like some good info. There's all these threads where people are saying "well I'm making this much with X parts" and then you have another where someone isn't having the same results. Kind of confusing, who is right?

So I'll go with the -10, dual 450s and the aftermarket rails then. Should be the best way to make sure I don't come up short. And it sounds a lot simpler to set up that way actually.

Follow up question: How different are aftermarket truck fuel rails from car? Is it only the mounting height? I had to space my stock truck rails up to fit my current injectors which are the tall ones. If I can get LS1 aftermarket rails and they work, then that there will be a lot more choices for injectors, right?

Just browsing around on ebay, there is 1 guy selling aftermarket fuel rails for truck intakes, and there are tons of options for cars, and cheaper too.

Id be interested in the answer to this as well. Im running a tall injector with a rail spacer on my factory truck rails and its kind of a pain in the butt. And since I hard wired in my injector plugs when I went to the car style injectors I really dont want to have to cut them all back off and wire in factory truck injector plugs.

To the OP, I agree with Oakley. Run the 450's since you plan to use E85 and get aftermarket rails. It will save you headaches in the future.

I asked the truck seller on eBay about it and this is the response I got. Sounds like it's basically the brackets.

"You could take ls rails and make your own bracketry to mount. My kit uses ls2 rails (proper length, side reliefs and injector depth) and I have custom cnc brackets."

That's what I did. U can take the ones that come with it and drill holes to proper hight. Then it's universal lol

Volume of fuel will be your problem, need the lines rails and injectors to support that. Have you calculated your fuel needs from the bsfc and hp goals above.
