Default Fuel Pump Upgrade! Dual Walbro 400s

Just swapped out my densos for these. These guys are tiny! I could easily fit 3 in the returnless bucket! The walbro 255 is the same size as the denso 1020 for comparison.

If you have not read the thread I made about fuel injector flow vs pump flow, I highly recommend it here: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...p-flow-510434/

With these pumps I should have roughly 70L/hr more at a 5psi higher base pressure than the densos, so I should have plenty of fuel!

Wow , smaller than a 255 ! Damn .

I'm excited about the power they will support , this pump (s) should be the end all to 99.9% of our fuel needs, I'm going to get a set , compared to you I should really be safe lol.

Also excellent thread on pump flow , Thankyou !

What size is the outlet nipple? I'd suggest leaving your base pressure at 43.5, then boost reference 1:1. That pump flows a lot of fuel at the lower pressure! That's what I'm going to do, but with just a single pump.

wkdivr, take a look at the thread I referenced on pump flow, you may be interested in it

I have a plan to add 3 of these to a bucket so fuel pump will never be an issue again

You could get even more flow if you used the E85 version of this pump...

Excellent spreadsheet! Thanks! With that you can make sure your pump keeps up with injector flow, AND, you can back work it so you don't get too much (unneeded) pump! What is the outlet nipple size on the 262, or the 267 pump?

Yes, but I got these pumps for ~$120 whereas the wlabro450 is ~$200, and I dont plan to run 100% e85.

I measured it as 11/32, but the 5/16 hose works fine.

Thanks! And you're running the return line back into the bucket, right? Are you leaving the EVAP in it's place on the top of the "hat". That seems to be the biggest stumbling block with the early (04-05) returnless systems. That stuff take up a lot of space!
