I'm still losing fuel pressure above 6500 rpm. I currently have a racetronix 255lph pump I tank and a Bosch 044 inline after the fuel filter. I'm thinking about taping the rear of the tank with a -10an and route the hose to the front, install another Bosch 044, and y it into the stock feed line. And run it on a Hobbs switch to turn on around 5psi. Would this help or am I wasting my money trying?

Your return style right ? Just get 2 walbro 400 or 450s and put em in the tank , with a hot wire kit to feed dual pumps .

Would be easier and cheaper to do it the way I described in my first post. It's almost impossible to fit two pumps in the return bucket

He has the smaller return bucket, but 2 should still fit. I never believed in in-line pumps.

No, you have to match the tank to the bucket. The hole in the top of the return tanks is too small to fit the returnless buckets. The two different returnless buckets (gmt800 and gmt900) have basically the same diameter, just different hats. Thats why mine works.

 

Gotchya ! Didn't think about that , still like you said he can fit 2 in the bucket and be done with it. There's a few guys here that have it like that in the older sending unit.

 

You will still run into the problem of draining the bucket if you run the tank low....even more so with the return bucket since its so small. I dont run below half a tank in mine to make sure the pumps are kept submerged. The fix is either a full cell or a surge tank, but then you wouldnt be messing with the stock tank at all.

To clarify my statement earlier, I dont like in-line pumps because you are always limited by the flow rate of the smaller pump. By having two in-line it moves the pumps to a lower pressure point on their curve, but it the total flow is still limited by the smallest pump.
