I'm building a double pump set up for my truck using the 04+ bucket. I made a press fit opening in the bottom of my bucket for the pump sock so the primary pump was always pulling fuel from the bottom of the tank. That way when the secondary pump kicks on, it can pull the fuel from inside the bucket. I didn't want two 450 pumps pulling fuel from the bucket at the same time. I felt lke I would run into starvation issues when i have anything less than half a tank (or any level less than the top of the bucket). I have pics of my bucket if you want to see what it looks like.

Since you are only running one pump, you should be good to go just running the pump inside the bucket.

Just looked, and I guess I lied. I don't have any pics of the bucket. Here are some pics of the top assembly. Only thing I've done different since that pic is change the bulkhead fitting to a 90* bulkhead. Should clear the bed now.

Tomorrow I'll take some pics of the bucket with the press fit pump in it.

Been there done that with my truck. I rolled my truck in the mountains during a blizzard. It was upside down for a good while. All the tranny fluid drained out of the dipstick on the engine, grill, pretty much the entire front of the truck. It looked like I hit someone or a deer. The blue canister is for the evap system, correct?? I am doing away with the evap all together so I'll be cutting that out.

No really much to see yet but you can see where I placed the main pump and how the sock press fits outside of the bucket.
