I have ran the holley rails on my old nnbs intake and now my lsxrt. they clear the alternator and fit good but due to my injectors I had to make my own hold downs

 

I looked on nasty performace website and can't really tell which rail you have in this picture . Can point me in the right direction and where did you get the spacers for the rail and injectors?

 

They said it was a direct fit the L92, but obviously they were wrong. I think its their LS3 rail, but they might not even have it any more. The injector spacers I got from FIC. The rail spacers I measured what I needed and got some from mcmaster carr.

 

the ebay rails fit good on the stock truck intake.

 

I have fast rails on mine. I just made some small L brackets with spacers underneath to bolt them down. Been using like this for 4yrs now.

 

It seems that there isn't a perfect Bolt in set. I was in the same boat a year ago, and I fought as much as I could to NOT to go to a billet rail. I couldn't find options either for the 01 Truck intake so I bought a set off of Ebay. It was for an LS1. Very nice quality, -8 hardware and a pre-made cross over. I made some custom hold downs. The rails wouln't stay put. I had it towed twice. It kept moving around and popping an injector free. EXACTLY why I hate Billet rails that are universal. (most are universal anyways)

I had the shorty injectors BTW. I ended up making some crazy Beefy adjustable U hold downs that actually cupped the whole top of the rail and bolted to the Factory Fuel rail points. They haven't Budged since. So, long story short, make sure you mount them EXTREMELY well.

With my boost referenced FPR I hit 65ish psi.

Mine didnt have the t fitting thing when I ordered them. Very nice Quality stuff. . I see they have other options now.

 

You know he sells a kit specifically for the truck intake, right?

I have those and the hold downs are made for the truck intake and work just fine.

 

If i had known I would have bought them probably. HAHA. I have the shorty injectors, so if they are set up for different ones it would have made no differece. I will take my custom hold downs over any that come on them. I had the angled ones screwed to the intake and it still twisted the rail and popped the injector out under high pressure. Probably because of the shorty injectors I am guessing.

These must be the truck-speciffic rails. I would really like to see what else is required to plumb it for a return system on my 2001.
