So I checked my fuel pressure and KOEO it's right at 62 psi, but running it goes up to 82 psi! My setup is on an 03 silverado with return style system. I have an aeromotive 340 pump, stock lines into a vette filter feeding the square NNBS rails on a L92 intake with LS3 injectors. Why would my pressure be so high and what could this cause/hurt and how do I fix it? Do I need to go ahead and replace my lines, FPR, and do some aftermarket rails? I was thinking of doing that anyway with a new holley midrise intake.

 

Also the leakdown was fast! It went down to 20 psi in less than 2 minutes... where would you guys look first? Vette filter? in the tank, or bad injector(s)?

 

Anybody?? or is this a really dumb question?

 

Did you ever get your kinked fuel lines figured out?

 

What does it do with the vacuum reference for the regulator disconnected? Truck run rich?

 

Brent, no I have them in a happy medium I'm guessing... they are still some what kinked and could be the problem with the return kinked off...


Atomic, I don't have the stock regulator. I'm using a corvette filter in it's place.

wix or GM all others are cheap and will send Fuel PSI thru the roof

 

It's a WIX brand filter. No Atomic, it is internally regulated somehow, not really sure but it's not vacuum referenced.

 

So your return line is kinked and you are having high pressure issues... Why haven't you fixed the lines?
